Our Lady of Aparecida
(Patron)
Joeão Alves, Felipe Pedroso and Domingos Garcia, after placing the image inside the boat, were able to experience the action of the Mother of God. The fishermen, who had previously been unable to catch anything, filled their nets with an abundant quantity of fish.
Before taking the fish to the banquet, they handed over the pieces of the statue to Silvana da Rocha Alves, Domingos' wife, Felipe's sister and João's mother, who brought the two parts together with wax and placed it on a small altar in the family's home. thanking Our Lady for the miracle of fish.
A devotion was born there, bringing together residents of the region every Saturday to pray the rosary and sing the litany.
